Kiddikins Based Program Expands

After a successful first year, Jump Smart, a Kiddikins based program offered in School District 75, has expanded to a second school.Ý Starting in September, Jump Smart will be offered at both Albert McMahon and Deroche Elementary.ÝÝ Names are now on the Jump Smart Interest List to June 2007!Ý For a list of recently added JS Frequently Asked Questions visit www.kiddikins.com/parents_jsfaqs.html

Kiddikins Presentation to ECE Students

In June 2003, Kim Kirk, of Quest Leisure Ltd., presented a mini Kiddikins workshop including a Kiddikins demonstration to students enrolled in the Columbia Bible College Early Childhood Education program.ÝÝ

Students enjoyed playing a variety of Kiddikins Educational Movement Games and gave positive feedback at the end of the session.Ý Some of the comments included:Ý Very interesting approach to education! I am an analytical learner but I was definitely interested :) Children need to move!Ý You were very informative. / Wow! / Enjoyed it.Ý Nice to see physical learning program. / A lot of work, but well done and goes along with pre-K learning styles. / Cool! / Very interesting and lots of creativity put into this. / Excellent concept; it would be a good resource for special education. / Great presentation and I am very interested in the program. / It sounds like a really amazing program.Ý I would love to see it in more preschools. / I love how you combined movement and learning.Ý Great idea. / Seems like a very fun and effective program!Ý Great activities :)Ý

Plans for Kiddikins Video

To better accommodate centres in remote areas, plans are currently being made for a Kiddikins Video.Ý Initial plans for the video include a promotional / instructional video that is 20-30 minutes in length that outlines the Kiddikins philosophy and concept of learning while moving.ÝÝ Watch for more information in upcoming newsletters!
